Green Projects: spotlight on local green business networking opportunities

Interior Plantscapers can benefit greatly from joining local business networking groups.  Being part of ‘greening projects’ and business initiatives can be an effective way to help increase your own profile, business portfolio and do something beneficial for your local community. But like most things, what you get out of joining business networks depends greatly on what you put in and collectively the group can achieve amazing results which would not be possible on your own.
One such example is the Warragul Business Group which is a non-profit, volunteer organisation working to promote relevant, vibrant and strong local businesses and communities in the Warragul, Baw Baw regions of Victoria (just outside of Melbourne).  This business group represents and supports small business through networking, marketing and other activities. It offers member partnerships and sponsorships to generate investment into the positive social and economic growth of its local area.  In recent times, local businesses that are part of this vibrant business network have recently celebrated the launch of ‘Trail Trak’, a phone app featuring the area’s most beautiful walking, running, cycling and riding tracks, which brings people to their area.  They have also worked collectively on the project ‘Grow Warragul’ which is the local business group’s initiative to ‘green up’ the retail precinct.
