This month I would like to acknowledge the work of our Executive Board who take time out from their busy workload to contribute for the benefit of the entire industry. Let’s not forget all of our subcommittee volunteers who step up when we need a little extra help to achieve IPA’s goals, thank you!
IPA Executive Board along with Executive Officer, Elaine Tunn, have been busy over the past couple of months making new connections, working on ideas to increase our industry profile and getting the message out regarding all of the amazing and often overlooked benefits of indoor plants. We are also working on some networking opportunities for later in the year so that you can get together with like-minded professionals in your industry.
Our collaboration with Hortjournal Australia continues, thanks to the input of our wonderful members submitting their articles to be published, and as a result of Elaine’s tireless work, a new partnership with Yates has now been established. Yates does a fantastic job with their various promotions and their campaign for July will be featuring 31 indoor plants. Communication Manager, Angie Thomas invited IPA to participate by supplying 8 articles along with images to be used in the feature. I have already had the pleasure of contributing to their ‘garden notes’ for Yates Garden Club members, where birds nest fern was the featured indoor plant. I had just completed a new green wall project incorporating birds nest ferns, so was able to provide some photos and notes about the project. With the ‘garden notes’ not only going out to Yates Garden Club Members but also to Yates media contacts, the opportunity to link the information back to IPA’s website was too good to pass up!
If you are interested in contributing your photos’ or an article that could be used in campaigns or newsletters forward your details to email@example.com.
Until next month!
