Recently a group of Victorian IPA members met for coffee with IPA Management Committee members Michael Casey and myself, IPA President Cameron Iddles. The aim was social, to have a great cup of coffee and to chat about issues that affect us all. In such trying times it helps to talk to those who have similar issues, even if so called competitors – strength in numbers and open communication benefits us all.

Another benefit was a guided tour by Stephen Brough, whose company Plants for Hire plants4hire.com.au had recently installed the new plantscaping in the building foyer we met in, of Bourke Place Melbourne bourkeplace.com.au
Thanks to Stephen and Tara for not only showing us their great work but for sharing their wealth of knowledge about the issues of transforming such a large and complex site – interesting, informative and entertaining.

As a member of IPA you have the opportunity to network and gain contacts. An excellent opportunity, whether you are new to business or an expert, to make friends, develop business relationships and form key strategic alliances for your business.

The social event was also the perfect opportunity to meet up with IPA’s past President Nerida Hills, always great to chat to and share ideas.
I would encourage members in all States to plan a similar coffee catch-up when able. Whether a group of IPA members or even with just one other business to get the conversation started.
Cameron Iddles
IPA 2021 President
